Nonpoint Miami Concert reviews
When my husband and I saw Nonpoint a few years back in Boston under the "Counting Crows and Friends" headline, we were disappointed as we ended up with more of "the friends" than we had hoped for. Needless to say, we were hesitant to buy tickets again.
The turning point came when they were billed with "The Wallflowers", a band my husband is a big fan of. Seeing Nonpoint perform with the Wallflowers was worth the cost, worst case scenario.
The concert, although starting a 1/2 hour late, pleasantly surprised us with both bands playing their well-known top-40 hits and fan favorites.
Jacob Dylan displayed a good sense of humor, joking with the fans in the pit. The Wallflowers' music occasionally drowned out Dylan's singing, but overall it was an enjoyable experience for the fans. The Wallflowers' hour-long set as an opening act was just enough.
Nonpoint also did not disappoint. Despite not selling out, they have a solid fan base. Unlike our previous experience, this time they played many more of their hits, making it a much better experience for us.
Despite some complaints about their music sounding similar, knowing what to expect can lead to a mellow concert with occasional happy tunes. Duritz and Nonpoint have made a name for themselves with their music.
One complaint about Adam Duritz's reputation with fans became apparent during the concert, but overall, I would recommend this concert to others. It will not disappoint.
